2021 Summer

Camp Dates

In order to reduce contact between sessions, each session will begin on a Sunday (instead of Saturday) and will end on a Saturday. Campers should plan to arrive on the first Sunday of the session.

  • Session 1: Sunday, June 27 to Saturday, July 10
  • Session 2: Sunday, July 11 to Saturday, July 24
  • Session 3: Sunday, July 25 to Saturday, August 7

Staff – if you’re able to arrive a day early on the Saturday, we can use extra manpower to disinfect and prepare camp between sessions.

Health Information

The New York State Department of Health requires all summer camps to implement changes to their programs for 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You can read the major changes that JIM Club is implementing on our COVID-19 information page.

Virtual camp

We are developing plans for a virtual camp offering for those who are unable to attend in-person this year. Stay tuned for details soon!

Information for Parents

We want you to be prepared! Here are some useful links to help you get ready for camp:

  1. New Sermon – A sermon will be chosen specifically for your son (which he needs to memorize before coming to camp). We have done our best to choose a sermon that is suited to his personality and ability. You can work with your son to make minor adjustments to the wording, if you’d like. Most scripture quotations are in NIV or KJV, but feel free to use your son’s preferred translation instead. The sermon will be included in the confirmation email.
  2. For Returning Boys A list of what your son has had ok’d in previous summers is included in the confirmation email. You can find copies of the previous material in the Platform Library. Your son can challenge himself by also memorizing a chapter of scripture before camp.
  3. Packing – Review the packing tips to see what to pack for your son’s stay and how to deposit spending money on arrival.
  4. Directions – Check our driving directions to camp. If you plan on staying in the area overnight, you can check our list of local hotels.
  5. Electronic tolling on I-90 – If you are traveling on Interstate 90, please note that the toll booths and cash payments have been replaced by electronic tolling. Details are available on our driving directions page.
  6. Saturday Afternoon Program – Due to the pandemic, the Saturday Evening Program will be held virtually this year. We will share details with registered families on how to watch online.
  7. Coming from Canada? - The Canada-US border continues to be closed, and so most JIM Clubbers living in Canada will not be able to attend camp this summer. If you live in Canada and plan on attending, please ensure that you have a way to lawfully satisfy border crossing and quarantine requirements.
  8. NYS Traveler Health Form: Campers and staff arriving from outside of NY, PA, NJ, CT, MA, or VT must fill out the New York State Traveler Health Form within 24 hours of arriving in New York State. We send a reminder to families to complete this a few days before the start of their session.

Theme Song: Jesus In Me

Original Song Title: Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me
Music and Lyrics: Jonny Robinson, Rich Thompson, and Michael Farren

What gift of grace is Jesus my redeemer
There is no more for heaven now to give
He is my joy, my righteousness, and freedom
My steadfast love, my deep and boundless peace

To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus
For my life is wholly bound to his
Oh how strange and divine, I can sing, "all is mine!"
Yet not I, but through Christ in me

The night is dark but I am not forsaken
For by my side, the Savior He will stay
I labor on in weakness and rejoicing
For in my need, His power is displayed

To this I hold, my Shepherd will defend me
Through the deepest valley He will lead
Oh the night has been won, and I shall overcome!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me

No fate I dread, I know I am forgiven
The future sure, the price it has been paid
For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon
And He was raised to overthrow the grave

To this I hold, my sin has been defeated
Jesus now and ever is my plea
Oh the chains are released, I can sing, "I am free!"
Yet not I, but through Christ in me

With every breath I long to follow Jesus
For He has said that He will bring me home
And day by day I know He will renew me
Until I stand with joy before the throne

To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus
All the glory evermore to Him
When the race is complete, still my lips shall repeat,
"Yet not I, but through Christ in me!"

When the race is complete, still my lips shall repeat,
"Yet not I, but through Christ in me!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!"
